Snežnik (Italianized: Monte Nevoso) is a karstic limestone plateau with an area of about 85 square kilometres (33 sq mi) in the Dinaric Alps of Slovenia. Its highest peak Veliki Snežnik has the altitude of 1,796 metres (5,892 ft). There is a mountain hut named the Drago Karolin Hut just below the Veliki Snežnik peak towards the border with Croatia.[1]
